Last September 13, Quality and Metrology Society (association for people involved in Quality and Metrology ) in cooperation with AMI Equipment Services and Solutions (Company offering sales and services of industrial and biomedical equipment) and Acculab Calibration Laboratory (ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration laboratory) successfully conducted a training in Bayfront Cebu for biomedical engineers from various hospitals on the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM).
During the session, many participants realized the importance of first taking our Fundamentals of Metrology course, which is strongly aligned with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. This foundation would have provided them with a stronger grasp of core principles before diving into the more advanced topic of uncertainty in measurement.
This feedback reinforces the value of our training program pathway:
1. Fundamentals of Metrology (ISO/IEC 17025-based)
2. Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM-focused)
3. Various Equipment Calibration
4 ISO/IEC 17025 Foundation Course
5. Internal Auditor Course
During our recent training sessions, participants highlighted the need to develop a harmonized calibration procedure for various medical equipment to support biomedical technicians and engineers in ensuring consistency and reliability of measurement results. This feedback further strengthens QUALIMETS, ACCULAB and AMI commitment to providing relevant and practical training programs for biomedical professionals.
